App on stolen phone leads to Sydney arrest

Six mountain bikes, 15 laptops, 25 watches and 40 mobile phones are among a haul of suspected stolen items seized from a Sydney property.

A massive haul of suspected stolen property has been seized after a locating app on a stolen mobile phone led police to a Sydney home.

Residents at a home in Blakehurst contacted police early on Wednesday after discovering they had been robbed, and traced their stolen phone to a property in Revesby.

A police search uncovered the phone and other property taken from the Blakehurst home.

Dozens of other items, suspected to have been stolen during a number different of break-ins, were also seized, including two motorbikes, six mountain bikes, 15 laptops, 25 watches, 40 mobile phones and 40 credit cards.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at the Revesby property and is expected to appear before Sutherland Local Court on Thursday.
