Apple is set to announce two new iPhones and a larger, more powerful iPad later this week.
The technology firm is hosting a live event on Wednesday where it will unveil its latest line of products, including new versions of the iPhone, said to be called the 6S and 6S Plus.
Both phones are reported to contain pressure sensors in the screen - a technology called Force Touch that is already used on the Apple Watch, which enables users to perform different actions by tapping and pressing more firmly.
Reports also suggest the much-anticipated iPad Pro, a larger version of Apple's tablet that will have power similar to a laptop and a 12.9in screen, could be confirmed.
TV is also set to be on the agenda, with the Cupertino-based firm's Apple TV streaming box set for its first update in three years.
This reboot is said to include the introduction of an App Store on the device for the first time, as well as a new remote control that includes digital assistant Siri, enabling users to search using their voice.
The event is taking place in San Francisco, but Apple enthusiasts have been quick to point out that the venue for the show has changed, moving from the Moscone Centre to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, which can hold 7000 people - a sign, some have suggested, that Apple will have a bumper number of announcements to make.
Also reportedly in line to be discussed are new straps for the Apple Watch and the next version of Apple's mobile operating system iOS 9, which is likely to be released alongside the new iPhones.
Having been announced at the same event last year, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus received four million pre-orders on their first day of availability. More than 70 million were sold in three months, leading Apple to record the largest ever quarterly profit from a public company of $US11.8 billion ($A17.04 billion).
The technology giant is said to be aiming to repeat or even exceed that demand this year.
