Computer giant Apple will launch Apple Pay on Monday, chief executive Tim Cook says.

Apple Pay is a mobile payment system that was announced along with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September.

The Cupertino, California-based technology company also was expected to announce upcoming iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 at the event.

On Wednesday it posted screen shots of the devices at the iTunes Store and revealed the names.

The devices look similar to the previous models, but are expected to be thinner and have a faster processor, according to media reports.

It also appeared the gadgets will have the Touch ID fingerprint sensor which is currently only available in the iPhone.
