ApplyDirect shares jump on ASX debut

Shares in jobs search engine provider ApplyDirect have surged more than 50 per cent after listing on the Australian market.

Shares in online jobs search engine provider ApplyDirect have surged in their market debut.

Shares in the company gained 10.5 cents to close at 30.5 cents in their first session, adding $11 million to it market value, which now sits at $32 million.

ApplyDirect uses its proprietary software to directly connect job candidates with employers' recruitment systems, and raised $8 million in its initial public offer.

The funds will be used to boost its sales and marketing program.

The company currently has 75 paying employers, including the NSW government, Optus and Bupa, using its platform.
