Aristocrat ponders US gaming takeover

Aristocrat is in advanced talks with US-based Video Gaming Technolgies, but says it is not yet clear if any deal will be done.

Poker machine maker Aristocrat Leisure is in takeover talks with a US gaming group.

Aristocrat says it is in advanced talks with Video Gaming Technologies (VGT) and in the final stages of examining its books.

However, it was not yet clear if any deal could be done.

VGT designs, makes, distributes and operates gaming machines and systems in the US and Mexico.
