Arizona aren't holding anything back for their historic MLB trip to Australia, with the Diamondbacks naming their top two starting pitchers against the Los Angeles Dodgers at the SCG.
Young gun Patrick Corbin and No.2 ace Trevor Cahill will start the season-opening series in Sydney on March 22-23.
The Dodgers are considering leaving their No.1 star Clayton Kershaw at home to rest, but the Diamondbacks are endeavouring to bring their best roster down under.
Corbin, 24, had a breakout season in 2013 where he became one of the youngest All Stars in MLB history.
Cahill struggled last season but the Diamondbacks are happy with the way he's pitched during spring training.
Pitching opening day is considered an honour in Major League Baseball, and the SCG match will be Corbin's first experience throwing the first pitch of the entire season.
"I mean it's an honour," Corbin said.
"I think everybody wants to start the first game and that's how I prepared myself this off-season."
While Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke created a stir with his recent comments that he had "zero excitement" for going to Australia - before the Dodgers ruled him out of the trip due to injury - both Corbin and Cahill had different takes.
Cahill pitched for Team USA in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and said he welcomed another trip overseas.
"The whole jetlag thing I didn't really notice it that much," Cahill said.
"If anything (it's) on the way back and we'll have plenty of time to get recalibrated. It should be exciting. It should be fun."
The Dodgers are yet to announce their starters for the trip.
