Armed men hold up NSW hotel

Three men armed with knives and wearing balaclavas have run off with cash after holding up two female employees at a Sydney hotel.

Three armed men in balaclavas have escaped with cash after holding up two female staff members at a hotel in southwest Sydney.

Police say the men threatened the women with knives after they had finished work and left the hotel in Marrickville in the early hours of Tuesday.

They then forced the women back inside and demanded they open the safe. The women complied, handing over the cash.

Nobody was injured in the robbery.
