Arrests, drugs busts at Vic music festival

Police have arrested 37 people and seized a range of drugs at the Listen Out music festival in Melbourne.

Police have seized a range of drugs and made several arrests at Melbourne's Listen Out music festival.

Sniffer dogs went to work at the Botanic Gardens dance music event on Saturday, leading to the arrest of 37 people on drug offences.

Ecstasy, amphetamines, cocaine and MDMA were among the drugs found.

Senior Sergeant Mark Pilkington said the drugs were dangerous and buyers had no idea what they were putting in their bodies.

"It's also concerning that despite the warnings there are still a number of people who choose to do the wrong thing," he said.

"We will continue to conduct these operations at all upcoming music festivals in an attempt to minimise the harm caused by these illicit substances."

Listen Out festival, which included acts such as Flume and Chet Faker, has visited Perth, Sydney and Melbourne and will travel to Brisbane on Sunday.
