The Wikileaks founder Julian Assange says Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is going to have to take action to reduce the political influence of the WikiLeaks party.
Mr Assange is standing for the Australian Senate in the federal election on September 7.
But he's stuck in the Ecuadorian embassy in London avoiding extradition to Sweden for questioning over sexual assault claims while hoping to travel to Ecuador where he's been offered asylum.
In a one-on-one interview inside the embassy, he's told World News Australia's Kristina Kukolja self-preservation will force the major parties to act.
