Atlanta dominate in NBA

Atlanta moved to an Eastern Conference best 50-13 in the the NBA with a commanding win over the Sacramento Kings.

The Atlanta Hawks turned 50 and showed no signs of slowing down.

Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll scored 20 points apiece on Monday and the hot Hawks picked up their 50th win of the season, with a 130-105 crowning of the visiting Sacramento Kings.

"Just a good offensive performance," said Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer.

"The ball movement was good, the passing was crisp and we were able to get a rhythm going."

Korver was one of three players rested in Saturday's surprising 92-84 road loss to lowly Philadelphia.

The night off seemed to benefit the struggling three-point specialist, who got back on track, hitting six-of-eight triples as the Hawks set a franchise-record with 20 from behind the arc.

"A couple of guys started hitting and it snowballed for us," Korver said.

"It's good to see the ball in the basket because it's been a couple of tough weeks for me."

Jeff Teague had 18 points with 13 assists, Germany's Dennis Schroder added 12 off the bench as East-best Atlanta (50-13) shot a sizzling 60 per cent from the field, posted an NBA season-best 42 assists en route to their highest scoring game of the year.

Elsewhere: New Orleans Pelicans came home strongly to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 114-103 as Anthony Davis dropped a career-high-tying 43 points to send the visiting Pelicans to a 35-29 record. Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a career-high 29 points for slumping Milwaukee (33-30).

Stephen Curry hit seven triples en route to 36 points and Klay Thompson added 25 as the league-best Golden State comfortably accounted for the Phoenix Suns 98-80.

The visiting Memphis Grizzlies overpowered the Chicago Bulls 101-91 as Spaniard Marc Gasol had 19 of his 23 points in the second half.

Tony Snell scored 21 while Pau Gasol finished with 13 and 11 rebounds as Chicago (39-26) suffered a season-high-tying third straight loss again without starters Derrick Rose (knee surgery), Jimmy Butler (left elbow sprain) and top reserve Taj Gibson (left ankle sprain).

In other matches LA Clippers beat Minnesota Timberwolves 89-76;

Washington Wizards snapped Charlotte Hornets' five-game run with a 95-69 trouncing; Boston Celtics were too good for Miami Heat 100-90 and the Denver Nuggets thumped New York Knicks 106-78.
