Ausdrill posts $175.6m loss

Ausdrill has made a $175.6 million full year loss for 2014/15, following a $43.9 million loss a year ago.

Mining services group Ausdrill has posted a $175.6 million full year loss but believes the downturn in the resources sector may be close to its bottom.

The loss is larger than the $43.9 million loss a year ago, while operating profit, which excludes one-offs, was down 94 per cent to $2.1 million.

In a statement, Ausdrill said it believed the downturn in mining was at or close to its bottom but said the sector was in for a slow recovery.
