Middlesex have re-signed Australia batsman Adam Voges for two spells this summer.

The 36-year-old enjoyed profitable short stays at Lord's in 2013 and 2015, averaging 55.6 across the two stints, helping to secure international selection late in his career.

Voges will be available from the start of the season until early June and, following an expected period away with his country, will return in mid-August.

Voges will captain Middlesex in the County Championship while James Franklin and Dawid Malan will assume the limited-overs captaincy after Eoin Morgan, England's white-ball skipper, stood down from the role at county level.
