Australia's Bradley Mousley has won his second straight Australian Open boys' doubles title, partnered by one of the players he beat in last year's final.
But Mousley's bid to become the third Australian in succession to claim the boys' singles title is over.
Mousley and Austria's Lucas Miedler beat French pair Quentin Halys and Johan Sebastien Tatlot 6-4 6-3 in Friday night's final at Melbourne Park.
Last year, Mousley partnered fellow Australian Jay Andrijic to the title, with Miedler one half of the pairing they beat in the decider.
Mousley and Halys were both playing after losing singles semi-finals earlier in the day.
The Australian fell to German 16-year-old Alexander Zverev, the world No.1 junior and top seed, 6-4 1-6 6-1.
It dashed Mousley's hopes of matching the achievements of his close friend Nick Kyrgios, who won last year's boys' singles event, and another friend and fellow Australian Luke Saville, who won in 2012.
Zverev will meet American second seed Stefan Kozlov in Saturday's final.
In the girls' singles, Australia's Kimberly Birrell lost to Croatia's Jana Fett 6-0 6-4 in their semi-final.
Unseeded Fett will meet Russia's fourth seed Elizaveta Kulichkova in the final on Saturday.
