Gone but not forgotten is how Australia's comedians say they will remember Ghostbusters star Harold Ramis, who has died in the US aged 69.
On Twitter Melbourne comedian Peter Helliar remembered Ramis as funny and delightful.
"RIP Harold Ramis. Thanks for bustin' ghosts, sending Griswalds to Wally World & for making Bill Murray live the same day over & over again x," he tweeted.
Australian actor and Anchorman 2 star Josh Lawson said he had been influenced by Ramis' style.
"RIP Harold Ramis. A major influence for me as an actor and filmmaker. Groundhog Day is one of the greatest films of all time. So sad."
Network 10 Project host Charlie Pickering simply tweeted his gratitude for the US comedian's work: "Thank you, Harold Ramis."
The 69-year-old died in Chicago of a rare autoimmune disease.
Alongside his Ghostbusters credits, Ramis also wrote and directed classic films like Caddy Shack and Groundhog Day.
He also worked with comedy legends John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray after they all met at Chicago's legendary improvisational theatre.
Other credits include co-writing the 1978 film Animal House and directing National Lampoon's Vacation starring Chevy Chase in 1983.
