Australian women's captain Jodie Fields has announced her retirement from international cricket.
Fields on Thursday called time on a glittering international career which included leading Australia to the 2012 women's world Twenty20 crown and 2013 World Cup.
The 29-year-old is Australia's seventh-most capped women's player, making four Test, 67 one-day and 37 T20 international appearances after debuting in a Test against India in 2006.
The Queenslander says she felt the time had come to end her international career.
"I've been really lucky and proud to be able to represent Australia for as long as I have and to have been a part of some amazing and successful teams," she said.
"There is nothing I loved more than pulling on my Australian jersey and running onto the field with my teammates. The friendships and memories will stay with me forever."
Fields' recent years have been dogged by injury.
She tore her hamstring off the bone in a domestic match in 2010 and missed that year's women's World T20 triumph.
The wicketkeeper-batter also missed this year's world T20 in Bangladesh after ruling herself out before the tournament due to a lack of preparation.
Fields leaves the international stage with 331 Test runs, 1162 ODI runs and 249 runs in T20 internationals.
She also claimed 127 dismissals with the gloves in all forms of the international game.
Fields will continue to play for the Queensland Fire in the women's domestic competitions this summer as they aim to defend their T20 title.
"No doubt the highlights of my international career were captaining the side to two World Cup wins within the space of six months and I particularly enjoyed the challenges of Test cricket," Fields said.
"Thanks to everyone who supported me during my international career. I would not have been able to achieve what I have without the support of those close to me, particularly my family and friends.
"Cricket has given me a lot of great experiences but I'm looking forward to the next phase and being able to focus on other career opportunities."
