Aussie duo win more beach volleyball gold

Australian beach volleyballers Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar have claimed gold on the World Tour for a fourth time.

Australians Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar have added another gold medal to their growing collection after victory at the World Tour of beach volleyball event in Portugal.

The fifth-seeded Clancy and Artacho del Solar overcame the United States team of Sara Hughes and Summer Ross 15-21 21-15 15-8 in the semi-finals before they eased past Brazil's Maria Antonelli and Carol 23-21 21-17 in the decider.

The Commonwealth Games silver medallists in April have won four golds on the circuit, more than any other Australian pairing.

The Espinho Open title is their biggest win since combining less than a year ago.

Clancy and Artacho del Solar's are well placed in the world's top 10 before next week's Grand Slam of World Beach Volleyball.

In May, they combined to win gold at the World Tour event in Lucerne, Switzerland.
