Former Warrington co-captain Michael Monaghan has been appointed as assistant coach by Catalan Dragons from 2015.
The 34-year-old Australian hooker or half-back, who hung up his boots at the end of the Wolves' semi-final defeat at Wigan last Friday, is moving to Perpignan on a two-year contract.
He will become the right-hand man to head coach Laurent Frayssinous, succeeding another Australian, David Waite, who stepped down at the end of the season.
"I'm extremely excited to begin my coaching career at the Catalan Dragons," Monaghan said.
"It's a club with amazing potential and I look forward to working closely with Laurent and the rest of the coaching staff to make the Dragons' 10th season its best yet."
Monaghan is thought to have turned down an offer to become head coach at Championship club North Wales Crusaders, who on Tuesday re-appointed Anthony Murray for 2015.
Frayssinous said Monaghan was the ideal person, as he was still very close to the competition.
"He is a highly respected player and person and I'm really looking forward to working with him next season," he said.
"He will bring us his experience at the best level and his leadership qualities he had as a player."
