Australian pitcher Peter Moylan has signed with the Houston Astros.

Moylan, 35, played with the Los Angeles Dodgers last season and was hoping to stay with the Major League Baseball club so he could take part in the Dodgers' exhibition games at the Sydney Cricket Ground in March.

Moylan, however, was not disappointed about signing with Houston.

"I have a job next year!!" Moylan wrote on Twitter.

The Astros signed Moylan to a minor league contract and the deal includes an invitation to major league spring training.

The Dodgers will play the Australian national team and bitter MLB rivals the Arizona Diamondbacks in Sydney in March.
