Australia has capped off a mixed campaign at the sailing world championships with two bronze medals and qualification for six Rio Olympic events.
Jason Waterhouse and Lisa Darmanin opened the final day of competition in Santander, Spain, with a third place in the Nacra17 - a new addition to the 2016 Games program.
Olympic gold medallists Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jenson scored the same result in the 49er men's skiff class later on Sunday, pipped at the post by Denmark.
"I'm pretty upset about the end result today but that's life and there are two years to go before the Olympics," said Outteridge.
The medals took the team's overall tally from the event to four - including Mat Belcher and Will Ryan's gold in the men's 470 and Tom Burton's silver in the Laser class.
The results have also secured Australia a spot in six of the 10 sailing events at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Yachting Australia's performance director Peter Conde admitted the week was challenging but successful.
"By the time we get to 2016 we'd just like to change the colour of some of those medals, but we have to be happy with the results here - particularly given the nature of the regatta," he said.
"We also are particularly happy with a lot of the youngsters coming through - epitomised by Jason and Lisa winning a bronze medal at such a young age.
"And, for example, Jake Lilley who qualified the Finn for Rio and he's only 21. That bodes really well for this team - not just for Rio but also for Tokyo 2020."
