Australian Jesse Williams hasn't played a single second of NFL, but could be in line for his second Super Bowl if Seattle win this year's title.

Australia's Jesse Williams could pick up his second Super Bowl ring in as many years without having played a single minute in the NFL.

The Brisbane-raised defensive tackle, known as 'Tha Monstar', injured his knee in August 2013 and sat out his entire rookie season with the title-winning Seattle Seahawks.

He hurt his knee again during pre-season practice in August last year, and has been forced to watch his side reach another Super Bowl from the sidelines.

The Seahawks will battle the New England Patriots for the championship on February 1.

"Would Sacrifice Anything to Be back out on the Field with the Uso's and take Away the timing of my Injury!!" Williams posted on Instagram on Tuesday.

"Now Just waiting for my Time and rehabbing Harder then Ever!

"Appreciate the @seahawks for Being Patient and Appreciate the Fans for the Consistent Support! New Monstar Coming Soon!"

The 24-year-old was picked up by the Seahawks in the fifth round of the NFL draft in April 2013.

Despite being on their injured reserve list, he was still entitled to a Super Bowl ring and even met US President Barack Obama following his side's 43-8 thumping of Denver.
