Australia's women's one-day cricket team comfortably won the opening match of their four-game series against Pakistan by four wickets in Brisbane on Thursday.
Perry sat out the clash due to a knee injury, but she still managed to steal the limelight at the start of the day when her engagement to Wallabies centre Matt Toomua was announced.
Set 157 to win after Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat at Redlands Cricket Club, the Southern Stars chased down the runs within 37 overs.
It was a solid start from Australia in the first qualification match for the 2017 Women's World Cup.
Jess Cameron was named player of the match for her unbeaten 58, while left-handed opener Nicole Bolton was the other main contributor with 43no.
Pakistan vice-captain Bismah Maroof (53) anchored her side's innings, combining well with Nida Dar (40) for an 89-run fifth-wicket partnership.
The wickets were shared amongst the Australians, with Julie Hunter (2-26), Sarah Coyte (2-27), Rene Farrell (2-28) and Jess Jonassen (2-29) all chipping in.
The second match is in Brisbane on Saturday.
