Australia have won the women's rugby sevens title in Brazil with a 24-12 victory over New Zealand in the final on Saturday.
Charlotte Caslick scored the first and last of Australia's four tries to lift them to victory in Sao Paulo - the third leg of the world series - and level with their trans-Tasman rivals on the overall standings.
Australia opened up a comfortable 17-0 lead two minutes into the second half when Emilee Cherry, who was named MVP of the tournament, crossed before the Kiwis reduced the margin to five points with two quick tries.
Caslick sealed the result with her second five-pointer just before fulltime.
Emma Tonegato bagged Australia's other try late in the first half.
Australia went through the 12-nation tournament unbeaten, including a 27-0 hammering of Japan in the quarter-finals and a 31-0 mauling of England in the semis.
Sevens rugby will return to the Olympic schedule at the 2016 Games in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
The next event of the five-round world series will be staged in the Chinese city of Guangzhou in April.
