Australian snowboarder Alex Dickson has snagged Australia's second medal at the Lillehammer Winter Youth Olympics, winning silver in the men's snowboard cross.
The 17-year-old from Jindabyne in NSW was strong throughout the competition, qualifying in third place, just 0.03 seconds off the pace.
His teammate, Geelong's Mollie Fernandez, claimed fourth place in the women's event.
It was a double delight for the ski cross team with 17-year-old Zali Offord grabbing silver in the women's event, while 17-year-old Louis Muhlen nabbed bronze in the men's.
The feat capped a strong comeback from Offord, who was forced off her skis for 15 days at the end of January after she was heavily concussed in a race fall.
The medals take Australia's tally at the Games to four following Emily Arthur's silver in the halfpipe, making it Australia's highest medal total in winter Olympic history.
Australia won three medals at Sochi in 2014 and Vancouver 2010.
