Aussies' ODI misery by the numbers

Several records were broken during Australia's 242-run ODI loss to England at Trent Bridge.

NASTY NUMBERS THAT SHOW AUSSIES' TRENT BRIDGE TROUBLE

*6-481: The highest ODI total ever. The previous mark was 3-444, also set by England at Trent Bridge, against Pakistan two years ago.

*242-run loss: Australia's heaviest ODI defeat. The previous low point was a 206-run loss to New Zealand at Adelaide Oval in 1986.

*242-run win: England's biggest ODI win. Their previous high was a 210-run victory over NZ at Edgbaston in 2015.

*First time: Australia have lost four bilateral ODI series (min 2 matches) in a row. They were thumped 4-1 by England at home earlier this year, 4-1 in India last year and 2-0 in New Zealand last year.

*0-100: Andrew Tye's figures from nine overs. It's the second most expensive ODI figures by an Australian. Mick Lewis' 0-113 (recorded in 2006 in Johannesburg) remains the record.

*62 boundaries: A record for any team in an ODI innings. The previous mark was 59.

*21 sixes: England's previous best effort in an ODI was 16. It was also an unwanted record for Australia, who have never conceded more sixes in an ODI.

*21 balls: Eoin Morgan brought up his half-century with record-breaking ease. The previous best by an English batsman in an ODI was Jos Buttler's 22-ball 50.

*150-plus partnerships: England had two of them. That's only happened once before in the nation's ODI history, at the same venue in 2016.
