No Australian men or women have made it through to the final round of Australian Open qualifying.

Only two Australian men and one woman made it into the second round and all three fell in straight sets at Melbourne Park on Friday.

In the men's draw, John-Patrick Smith lost 6-2 6-2 to American fourth seed Denis Kudla and Andrew Harris lost 6-2 6-4 to China's Ze Zhang.

On the women's side, Anastasia Rodionova lost 6-3 7-5 to German Carina Witthoeft.
