Aust man working with IS in Mosul-report

Iraqi forces advancing on the city of Mosul have found evidence suggesting an Australian man has been working with Islamic State as a medic.

Iraqi troops advancing on the Islamic State stronghold of Mosul believe an Australian is working with the terror group as a medic in the city.

Members of Iraq's the elite Counter-Terrorism Service found a black IS flag belonging to the unnamed man and taken details of what he looks like from locals, the ABC reported on Friday.

Security agencies estimate about 110 Australians have been fighting with IS in the middle east and about 60 are believed to have been killed.
