Australian swimmers bagged a total of 11 medals and raised the bar higher in the recently introduced mixed relay events on Sunday's second night of finals at the FINA World Cup in Tokyo.
After setting a new world record in the 4x50m mixed freestyle relay heats in the morning with a time of 1:31.13, the Australian finals team of Tommaso D'Orsogna, Travis Mahoney, Bronte Campbell and Cate Campbell again eclipsed the short course world mark in 1:29.61 to take gold.
Brazil secured silver and a second Australian quartet of Mitch Larkin, Regan Leong, Madison Wilson and Emma McKeon won bronze in 1:33.25.
Earlier on Sunday evening, sprint sensation Cate Campbell took aim at another short course world record, this time in the 100m freestyle, hitting the wall in 51.31, just 0.3 of a second off Libby Trickett's world mark from 2009.
McKeon was hot on Cate's heels, sneaking into silver in 51.69, with Bronte Campbell fourth in 52.42.
In the 100m individual medley final, Alicia Coutts shared gold with Hungary's Katinka Hosszu in an impressive 57.53.
After winning gold and silver in the 400m freestyle on night one, Thomas Fraser-Holmes (1:42.56) and Robert Hurley (1:43.12) again finished first and second respectively, this time in the 200m freestyle.
World Champion Christian Sprenger was too strong in the final of the men's 100m breaststroke touching first in 57.14.
Backstroker Emily Seebohm then started an Australian silver streak finishing second in the 100m backstroke.
Hurley (23.23) added to his 200m freestyle silver with second in the men's 50m backstroke.
Olympian Mitch Larkin (1:49.89) narrowly missed out on gold in the 200m backstroke touching just 0.13 behind Maski Kaneko of Japan.
