Aust Rural Capital in trading halt

The local firm bidding for the S Kidman and Co properties is in a trading halt following the rejection of the bid last Friday by Treasurer Scott Morrison.

Australian Rural Capital, the listed partner of the Chinese firm bidding for the S Kidman and Co pastoral properties, has gone into a trading halt ahead of an announcement about the bid.

ARC said it intends to make an announcement in respect of its joint bid with majority partner Dakang Australia Pty Ltd.

Treasurer Scott Morrison last Friday rejected the $371 million bid on national interest grounds and gave Dakang and ARC until Tuesday to respond to his concerns.
