Australia gives aid to flood-hit Nepal

Floods in Nepal have killed 150 people and Australia is contributing $2 million to the relief efforts.

Australia will chip in $2 million to help flood-ravaged Nepal.

Floods from heavy monsoon rains have killed 150 people, damaged 65,000 homes and destroyed 64,000 hectares of crops across the country.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says the money will go towards emergency shelter, food, clean water and healthcare.
