A new report ranks Australia as the worst performer on climate change among industrialised nations.

A new report ranks Australia as the worst performer on climate change among industrialised nations.

The Climate Change Performance Index has Australia replacing Canada in the bottom of the ranks, attributing government climate policy changes.

The Australian Climate Council's Professor Tim Flannery says the new ranking marks a drop of 21 places in the index, with Australia now just one spot above Saudi Arabia.

He's told Abby Dinham since the repeal of the carbon tax, carbon emissions have skyrocketed.
