An unchanged Australia have been sent in to bat in the second match of their one-day series against England.

England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and had no hesitation in electing to field under overcast skies at Lord's on Saturday.

Australian captain Steve Smith admitted he would've had a bowl if he'd won the toss, due to the light rain which delayed the start of play by an hour and reduced the match to a 49-over contest.

Smith has fond recent memories of Lord's, having scored an outstanding double-century in Australia's 405-run victory at the historic venue in the second Ashes Test in July.

"It was nice playing here last time, it was a good win for us and I was able to score a few runs," Smith said.

Australia leads the best-of-five series 1-0 after their 59-run victory in the opener on Thursday and have chosen to field the same team which did the job in Southampton.

"You can always improve. It was a good start to us for the series," Smith added.

England have rested paceman Mark Wood, recalling Liam Plunkett in his place.

Teams:

Australia: Joe Burns, David Warner, Steve Smith (capt), George Bailey, Glenn Maxwell, Shane Watson, Matthew Wade, Mitch Marsh, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Nathan Coulter-Nile.

England: Alex Hales, Jason Roy, James Taylor, Eoin Morgan (capt), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Chris Woakes, Liam Plunkett, Steven Finn.
