Australian HIV cases at 20 year high

New research indicates HIV cases in Australia remain at the highest level in 20 years.

There are fears one in seven people with the virus do not know they have it, putting more people at risk.

It comes as the World Health Organisation calls for more work to by done by the international community to control the epidemic by 2030.

David Wilson is from the University of New South Wales Kirby Institute for infection and immunity.

He spoke with Julia Calixto about the latest HIV statistics.
