The Australian Open tennis Grand Slam continues in Melbourne, with the start of the men's and women's doubles competition.
Kristina Kukolja previews some of the highlights on day three of the tournament.
Men's world number two Novak Djokovic returns to the court on day three in the second round of the men's singles draw.
The four-time Australian Open champion from Serbia is up against Argentina's Leonardo Mayer, an unseeded player, ranked 98th in the world.
Djokovic arrived in Melbourne with a new coach.
He says he has high hopes for a fifth Australian Open title under the guidance of six-time Grand Slam winner Boris Becker.
"He definitely has great observations of my game and tennis in general. We do speak a lot about different things and try to get to know each other as much as we can. And the understanding (between us) is great in the beginning. I did not expect ourselves to understand each other so well right away in the second or third week that we are working with each other. So, it is all going in the right direction and hopefully we can go far in this tournament."
Other top seeds to enter the men's singles second round are seventh seed Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic, France's Richard Gasquet and Russia's Mikhail Youzhny, the fourteenth seed in Melbourne Park.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has its first* ever player in a Grand Slam tournament in 21-year old qualifier Damir Dzumhur, who will meet Bosnian-born Croatian competitor Ivan Dodig.
Eighth seed Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland is also through.
Wawrinka says he's feeling good about his game, after the end of 2013 saw him finish eighth on the ATP** ladder.
"I just have more confidence in myself. I know I can play and go well in a Grand Slam. I already did start well the year with winning the first title, so that's given me a lot of confidence. I'm feeling physically strong, mentally there, so I'm thinking match after match, and I'm ready and happy to get on with the matches."
In the women's singles second round China's Li Na will come face to face with Switzerland's Belinda Bencic on Rod Laver Arena.
They'll be followed by top women's seed Serena Williams of the United States vs unseeded Serb Vesna Dolonc.
Also in play are Aussie Sam Stosur and Russia's Ekaterina Makarova.
To many Williams remains the favourite to take out the Australian Open women's title.
But Serbia's 14th seed Ana Ivanovic, who'll be in action today, says it's anyone's game.
"You go out there and you give your best, and we all thought that last year, too, and then she got knocked out by (Sloan) Stephens, so it's tennis and it can really go either way. She's definitely a hot favourite. She's been playing amazing tennis and she's on top of the women's game, and there is no doubt about that. But I think lots of girls are up for a challenge, and I think you just want to go out there and give your best. And you never know what can happen on any given day."
Australian legend Pat Rafter returns to team up with compatriot Lleyton Hewitt in the first round of the men's doubles competition.
The women's doubles first round will see 30-year-old Jelena Dokic, playing for Australia, in her first official match in two years, alongside West Australian wildcard entrant Storm Sanders.
Melbourne's heatwave is set to continue, with 41 degrees the forecast top for today.
And while the players work to keep themselves cool on court, St John's Ambulance service is on the tournament grounds looking out for fans and staff.
Commander Brendan McLaren offers some advice on how to stay cool.
"Keep hydrated, drink plenty of fluids, keep yourself in the shade. The other message that we'd like to give is slip, slop, slap, and slide. So, make sure you're wearing sunscreen and putting on a hat, a covered shirt, putting on the sunglasses, and just sort of keeping the fluids up, and making sure that you keep in the shade."
*Bosnia and Herzegovina gained independence from Yugoslavia in the early 1990s. Damir Dzumhur is the country's first Grand Slam contender since independence.
