Australians Jordan Zunic and Kristopher Mueck surged into the lead on the third day of the New Zealand Open in Queenstown.
Taking advantage of near perfect conditions, Zunic and Mueck went on a birdie-fest at The Hills, reaching 15-under with one round to play.
Zunic (NSW) carded a six-under 66, his only blemish a bogey at the par four 18th.
Victorian Mueck was also in excellent touch, firing a seven-under 65 which took in nine birdies and two bogeys.
Another two Aussies lie one shot off the pace in a tie for third with a round to play; Matt Jager and Aaron Pike are both sitting pretty at 14-under.
Josh Geary is the leading hope for a Kiwi victory after a solid six-under 66 but is only an outside chance to chase the leaders down at 11-under.
Overnight leader David Bransdon slipped off the pace and now sits sixth, one shot behind fifth-placed Queenslander Brad Kennedy.
