A survey by the Red Cross has found that Australians are misinformed when it comes to basic facts on refugees and asylum seekers.
It shows most people think it's a crime to come by boat without a visa seeking protection.
And it also indicates many people believe there's an official queue refugees and asylum seekers can join to be resettled.
