Australians 'unprepared' for crises

The Red Cross says even though Australia is one of the more hazard-prone countries in the world, very few people are prepared for a crisis.

The Red Cross says even though Australia is one of the more hazard-prone countries in the world, very few people are prepared for a crisis.

Red Cross National Coordinator for Emergency Preparedness John Richardson says with bushfires, floods and even earthquakes, disasters can strike at any time.

He's told Sonja Heydeman new figures show Australians don't make crisis planning a priority.
