Cocaine use is higher in Victoria and NSW than the rest of the country, an Australian Crime Commission report says.
The report says cocaine is used more in the southern states but it is difficult to quantify because of the "hidden" nature of its use.
"The Australian cocaine market varies across jurisdictions, with the majority of use occurring in New South Wales and Victoria," the report says.
The same goes for ketamine and GBH use.
News that Victoria has the biggest market for those illicit drugs doesn't surprise the state's acting Chief Commissioner Tim Cartwright.
"We're doing all sorts of things to deal with the problem, there are policing challenges but it's also a health problem, too," Mr Cartwright told 3AW radio.
