Australia's para-rowers have picked up where their able-bodied counterparts left off at the world rowing championships in Amsterdam, dominating day two of proceedings.
Six crews progressed to the semi-finals or finals on Monday, with the current world champion in the arms and shoulders men's single scull, Erik Horrie, cruising into the A-final with an 18-second victory.
Fellow world champions Kathryn Ross and Gavin Bellis, competing in the trunk and arms mixed double scull, claimed a steady to progress to the A-final ahead of the local Dutch crew.
Jeremy McGrath and Kate Murdoch, making their debut for the Australian team in the legs, trunk and arms mixed double scull, held off a fierce late challenge from France to book their finals place with a winning margin of just 0.52 seconds.
"Due to the fact I can't see what is going on, I rely on Jeremy to say the magic word of 'Go' before we kick down for the finish," Murdoch said.
"So when he said it twice in the final 250 metres I really had to go for it."
The lightweight men's coxless four finished on top of an in-form New Zealand crew, claiming victory by two seconds to have them well-placed for the final.
