Autopsy on unidentified lake body

Police say an autopsy will be conducted on an unidentified body found by a member of the public at a lake in southwest Sydney.

A post mortem examination will be conducted on an unidentified body discovered at Lake Chipping Norton, in southwest Sydney.

A member of the public made the grisly find at Lansvale about 4.15pm on Saturday.

It's not yet been determined whether the death is suspicious and no arrests have been made, police said.

An autopsy will be conducted on Monday as investigations continue.
