Average weekly earnings up two pct

Average weekly earnings rose two per cent in the six months to May, Australian Bureau of Statistics data show.

The average weekly earnings for full-time workers in Australia rose two per cent to $1,483.10 in the six months to May.

Men are still getting paid more than women, the figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics on Thursday showed.

Average ordinary full-time earnings for men came in at $1,591.60 a week, while women earned $1,307.40.
