Average weekly earnings up two percent

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has released the official figures for the average weekly earnings for adult full-time workers in November.

Australia's full-time wages rose 2.2 per cent over the year to November on average, latest figures show.

Average weekly ordinary time earnings (AWOTE) for adult full-time workers was $1,533.40 in the month, according to seasonally adjusted figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

The average wage in November was $1,369.70 for women - up 3.2 per cent over the year - and $1,631 for men - up 1.8 per cent.
