Baby boy dies after NSW pool rescue

A 21-month-old baby who was rescued from a backyard pool in northern NSW three days ago has died.

A baby boy has died after being rescued from a pool in northern NSW.

Emergency services were called to a home in Pimlico on Friday afternoon on reports the 21-month-old had been rescued from a backyard pool.

He was taken to Lismore Hospital and later airlifted to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in a critical condition.

However, the boy died in hospital on Saturday night, police say.
