R&B icon Babyface and his dancer girlfriend Nicole Patenburg have become engaged after seven years of dating.
The multi Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer broke the news to his friend Toni Braxton during an interview to promote their new duets album, Love, Marriage & Divorce on BET.com.
During the chat, Braxton asked her longtime collaborator: "Would you ever consider getting married again?", to which Babyface replied: "I've already considered it. I'm engaged, so yes."
The shocked Un-Break My Heart singer responded: "You're engaged? I think your fans are gonna (sic) be a little disappointed, but equally happy for you."
Babyface, real name Kenneth Edmonds, divorced his first wife Tracey - the mother of his two sons - in 2005 after 13 years of marriage.
Patenburg used to work as the 54-year-old star's back-up dancer, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Peyton Nicole, in 2008.
