Gerard Baden-Clay has begun giving evidence at his murder trial in Brisbane.

The 43-year-old has pleaded not guilty to murdering his wife in April 2012.

Her body was found on a creek bank in Anstead in Brisbane's west on April 30, 2012, 10 days after her husband reported her missing from their Brookfield home.

The crown closed its case yesterday after 10 days of evidence and 71 witnesses.
