Baggaley pleads not guilty to drug charges

Former Olympic kayaker Nathan Baggaley has pleaded not guilty to six drug-related charges in a NSW court.

Former Olympic kayaker Nathan Baggaley will remain in custody for at least six weeks after pleading not guilty to drug related offences.

Baggaley, 37, didn't apply for bail when he faced the Lismore Local Court on Monday. The case was adjourned until December 17.

The two-time silver medallist is facing six charges including manufacturing a prohibited drug, supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and conspiring to manufacture and import drugs in Australia.

He was charged with the raft of offences after police raided a drug lab in Northern NSW on Friday night.

Baggaley won two silver medals at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and won gold medals at ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
