Angela Ballard has claimed silver in the women's T53 wheelchair 100m at the IPC Athletics World Championships, with three teammates also winning bronze on day six of competition.
It is Ballard's third silver of the campaign having also finished runner-up in both the 200m and 800m events, and while the three-time Paralympian can chase the elusive gold in her pet event the 400m.
The NSW athlete was disappointed to have failed to match her qualifying time but couldn't complain about finishing on the podium for a third time this week.
"I went quicker yesterday in the heats and I wanted to improve on that today in the final, so from that perspective the result isn't fantastic," she said.
"That said I have a silver medal for my efforts and that's not a result worth ignoring.
"I'm probably more excited about now being able to focus on the 400m. It's without doubt my favourite event."
In other events, Michael Roeger (men's T46 arm amputee 1500m), Kath Proudfoot (F35/36 javelin throw) and Rheed McCracken (T34 wheelchair 800m for athletes with cerebral palsy) all grabbed bronze.
