Bangladesh 5-189 at tea against Zimbabwe

Bangladesh are 5-189 at tea on day two of the first Test against Zimbabwe, 51 runs still behind Zimbabwe's first innings total.

Mahmudullah and Mominul Haque brought up their half centuries to lead Bangladesh to 5-189 at tea on day two of the first Test against Zimbabwe on Sunday.

Mahmudullah struck 63 with seven fours and two sixes, while Haque's 53 included five boundaries.

Captain Mushfiqur Rahim was batting on 41 with Shuvagata Hom on nine at the break with Bangladesh still trailing Zimbabwe by 51 runs.

Mahmudullah and Rahim made a solid partnership after the departure of Shakib Al Hasan, who was run out on five.

Sikandar Raza had Mahmudullah trapped lbw after the batsman brought up his ninth half century. The umpire's decision was not out, but Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor asked for a review which showed the ball would have hit leg stump.

That was the first successful review of the match after Bangladesh decided to employ DRS for the first time in a home series.

Tinashe Panyangara returned figures of 2-41 and Sikandar Raza claimed 1-4.

Zimbabwe scored 240 in the first innings as Shakib Al Hasan ripped through the batting order, returning figures of 6-59.
