Bank review report due to be released

The Turnbull government will shortly release an interim report looking at a new one-stop shop for complaints against banks.

The initial report of an independent review into better ways to help disgruntled bank customers is set to be released within the next fortnight.

A panel led by University of Melbourne Professor Ian Ramsay is due to release its final report in March, but AAP understands an interim report has been presented to the government.

The review, which received 124 submissions, could lead to a one-stop shop to deal with customer complaints against banks - replacing the existing complex systems of tribunals and commissions.
