Barangaroo site shut down amid reports of bomb threat

A police operation has concluded following a reported bomb threat which shut down streets surrounding the Barangaroo site in Sydney.

Police cannot confirm the bomb threat, but said a police operation was underway near Clarence and Markets Streets in the city’s CBD.

A police spokeswoman said the operation finished shortly before midday after the incident was reported at 9.30am.

Further comment is expected later today.
