Barclay offered one-week AFLW ban

Suspension is set to rule GWS star Jacinda Barclay out of the AFL Women's round-four clash against Brisbane.

Multi-talented GWS star Jacinda Barclay has been offered a one-match ban for engaging in rough conduct against Fremantle's Tiah Haynes during Saturday's AFL Women's clash at Blacktown which ended in a draw.

Based on a medical report from the Dockers and available video evidence, the incident was classified as careless conduct with high impact to the body.

If Barclay chooses to challenge the charge at the tribunal and is unsuccessful she faces a two-week ban.

The 26-year-old represented Australia in baseball and played top-level American football in the US before turning her attention to the AFL Women's competition.

Melbourne's Laura Duryea and Adelaide's Tayla Thorn can accept reprimands with early guilty pleas from incidents in round three.

Match-day reports against Fremantle's Taylah Angel and Carlton's Bella Ayre were dismissed.
